2. Chery Q / QQ3: The Clearest Confirmed PAPS Launch

The Chery Q, based on the latest QQ3 electric hatchback, is currently the strongest confirmed PAPS launch. APP reports that Chery Master Pakistan will launch the car on September 18, announce its Pakistan price and open bookings at the show.

The Chinese-market QQ3 is offered with 310 km and 420 km CLTC ranges, using 29.48 kWh and 41.28 kWh batteries respectively. The stronger versions produce 90 kW, or about 121 hp, and all variants are rear-wheel drive. Chinese pricing runs from CNY 58,900 to CNY 78,900, equal to roughly PKR 2.43–3.26 million before Pakistan-specific costs.

Chery Pakistan's own product page already lists a 42.7 kWh battery, 121 hp output, rear-wheel drive and advanced safety technology, suggesting the local specification could be closer to the longer-range international version.

Pakistan status: PAPS launch and pricing announcement confirmed.
Global reference price: Approx. PKR 2.43–3.26m.
Pakistan price: To be announced.

STRONGLY EXPECTED AROUND PAPS 2026

3. iCAUR V23

The iCAUR V23 has already been spotted in Pakistan, and current local upcoming-car listings place its launch in September 2026. That does not confirm a PAPS launch, but it makes the model one of the strongest candidates for a formal show appearance or announcement.

The V23 is a compact, boxy electric SUV with up to 210 mm ground clearance and, depending on market, RWD or AWD configurations. UAE references list the 2WD around AED 55,000 and the AWD around AED 66,000, equivalent to roughly PKR 4.16–4.99 million.

Pakistan status: Units present; launch expected.
Global reference price: Approx. PKR 4.16–4.99m.
Pakistan price: Not announced.

4. iCAUR V27

The larger iCAUR V27 has also been seen in Pakistan and is listed for a September introduction. Unlike the battery-electric V23, the V27 uses a range-extended hybrid/REEV architecture, giving it much stronger long-distance appeal for a market where public charging remains uneven outside major cities.

The V27 can be configured with outputs ranging from roughly 248 to 448 hp, depending on trim, and current UAE pricing begins around AED 134,999, with higher versions reaching AED 164,999. That equals approximately PKR 10.20–12.47 million by direct conversion.

Pakistan status: Units spotted; September launch expected.
Global reference price: Approx. PKR 10.20–12.47m.
Pakistan price: Not announced.

5. Deepal S09

The Deepal S09 is another model currently listed for a September 2026 Pakistan launch, though no direct PAPS confirmation has surfaced yet. It is a much larger proposition than the S05 or S07, positioned as a six-seat flagship family SUV.

International specifications include range-extender technology, six-seat seating and, in AWD form, system output near 493 hp, 637 Nm torque and combined range of up to roughly 1,200 km. A China-market reference price around CNY 249,900 works out to approximately PKR 10.33 million before Pakistani duties and market costs.

Pakistan status: September launch candidate.
Global reference price: Approx. PKR 10.33m.
Pakistan price: Not announced.

6. Denza B5

BYD's premium brand Denza is also part of the Pakistan launch conversation. Demo units of the Denza B5 and B8 have reportedly already entered Pakistan for evaluation, but a firm PAPS launch announcement is still missing.

The B5 is a serious plug-in hybrid 4x4 with dual-motor AWD and around 570 hp in UAE specification. Its positioning puts it against premium off-road SUVs rather than ordinary crossovers. Recent China-market references put pricing around USD 43,900, roughly PKR 12.19 million by direct conversion.

Pakistan status: Demo/evaluation units reported.
Global reference price: Approx. PKR 12.19m.
Pakistan price: Not announced.

7. Denza B8

The larger Denza B8 moves further into premium SUV territory, with six- and seven-seat configurations available internationally and much more equipment than the B5. It is also reportedly among the Denza vehicles evaluated for Pakistan.

Current UAE pricing begins around AED 243,900, while some China-market versions have been quoted near USD 60,100. The China figure converts to around PKR 16.69 million, illustrating how dramatically export-market pricing can differ from domestic Chinese pricing.

Pakistan status: Expected / under evaluation.

8. MG IM5

The MG IM5 is currently listed among Pakistan's September 2026 launches and would represent a major step up in MG's EV portfolio. It is a large, technology-focused electric fastback/sedan rather than a mainstream compact EV.

MG UK's official pricing starts at £39,950, equal to approximately PKR 14.98 million. Higher variants add larger batteries and significantly stronger performance.

Pakistan status: September launch candidate.
Global reference price: Approx. PKR 14.98m.
Pakistan price: Not announced.

9. MG IM6

The MG IM6 has stronger Pakistan evidence than many rumoured models because a vehicle has already been spotted locally. PakWheels reported that MG intends to introduce the IM6 alongside another IM model, although exact launch timing remains unconfirmed.

The IM6 is a premium electric crossover with up to a 100 kWh battery, very high-output dual-motor versions and extremely rapid DC charging in some international specifications. MG UK's official starting price is £48,495, which equals approximately PKR 18.18 million.

Pakistan status: Vehicle spotted; launch expected.
Global reference price: Approx. PKR 18.18m.
Pakistan price: Not announced.

OTHER POSSIBLE PAPS 2026 PREVIEWS

The list may become even bigger. Several models are currently scheduled for Pakistan introductions in October 2026, which means PAPS in mid-September would be an obvious place for brands to preview them even if retail launch happens a few weeks later.

These should be treated as possible show previews, not confirmed unveilings:

Changan Lumin
Nevo A06
Nevo Q05
Deepal G318
Changan UNI-S
Jaecoo J8
GWM Cannon Alpha
Avatr 11

Current Pakistan launch listings place these models around October rather than September.

Among these, the Deepal G318, Nevo A06 and Nevo Q05 have particularly strong strategic relevance because Changan has already showcased them internationally and Pakistani automotive reporting has directly discussed the possibility of their local arrival.

I would not put these eight in the main “expected unveilings” table yet, because doing so would blur the line between a plausible show preview and an actual September launch.

Which PAPS 2026 Cars Look Most Important?

From a Pakistan-market perspective, four models currently stand out for different reasons.

Chery Q may be the most commercially important because its local price is actually expected to be revealed at the show. If aggressively priced, it could significantly widen Pakistan's affordable EV market.

Kia's mystery model is arguably the most watched because of the Stonic speculation and the question of whether Kia can reposition its compact crossover offering.

iCAUR V23 and V27 matter because they bring a very different rugged EV/REEV formula into Pakistan, while MG IM5 and IM6 would push the market further into premium, high-performance electric territory.

CarAdvisers Insight

PAPS 2026 may end up being less about traditional petrol launches and more about Pakistan's shift toward EVs, PHEVs and REEVs.

The expected lineup spans almost every new-energy format: a small electric hatchback in the Chery Q, a rugged BEV in the V23, a range-extended SUV in the V27, large REEV family SUVs such as the Deepal S09, premium PHEV off-roaders from Denza and high-performance EVs from MG.

For buyers, however, one issue remains more important than overseas specifications: Pakistan price.

A direct conversion of a Chinese, UAE or UK sticker price is useful only as a benchmark. Local taxes, duties, assembly status, battery warranty, parts support, financing and dealer network will determine whether each model is genuinely competitive.

What to Watch on September 18

The biggest questions are now clear:

Will Kia finally confirm the Stonic?
What will the Chery Q cost?
Will iCAUR formally launch both V23 and V27?
Will MG reveal the IM5 and IM6?
Will BYD use PAPS to introduce Denza?
And will Changan preview its October pipeline early?

CarAdvisers will continue to separate confirmed launches, official previews and speculation as manufacturers announce their final PAPS plans.
