What this launch means for Pakistan’s hybrid SUV market

According to PAMA data and industry trackers, hybrid vehicle sales in Pakistan grew steadily throughout 2024–2025, driven by fuel price pressures and improving awareness.

Chery’s aggressive pricing strategy could:

Push competitors to revise hybrid pricing
Accelerate consumer acceptance of PHEVs
Increase demand for charging stations and hybrid servicing infrastructure
Encourage local assemblers to introduce more electrified models

With Tiggo 7 and Tiggo 9 pricing expected in the coming months, Chery appears committed to building a full hybrid SUV portfolio tailored for Pakistan.
