Sazgar Engineering Works Limited has officially announced that it will begin bookings for its Tank 500 Hi4-T 4X4 2.0L Turbo AT from January 26. The company shared this update today in a notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange.

The Tank 500 Hi4-T will be available in both hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) variants. Details on pricing and booking procedures will be shared later today.

For those unfamiliar, a plug-in hybrid combines a traditional gasoline engine with a larger battery pack than a standard hybrid, allowing the vehicle to run solely on electricity for a limited range. Once the battery is depleted, the car operates like a conventional hybrid, utilizing both the engine and electric motor.

This announcement builds on the company’s previous plan from September last year, where Sazgar confirmed it would launch its PHEV models, Tank 500 and Cannon, by March 31, 2026. These moves are part of Sazgar’s wider strategy to expand into Pakistan’s New Energy Vehicle (NEV) segment, which has been gaining traction in the local automotive market.

According to the company, the auto industry is showing promising signs of recovery, with growth in multiple vehicle segments including petrol, hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and fully electric vehicles. Sazgar’s commitment to introducing modern, tech-equipped NEVs aligns with the government’s policy framework and signals a strong push towards sustainable mobility solutions in Pakistan.

Booking and Contact Information:

Model	Variant	Booking Start Date

Final Thoughts

With the Tank 500 Hi4-T bookings now open, Sazgar is taking a significant step towards transforming Pakistan’s NEV landscape. By offering both HEV and PHEV variants, the company is catering to customers looking for modern, fuel-efficient, and sustainable mobility options. This move also highlights the auto industry’s gradual recovery and the growing appetite for advanced vehicles in Pakistan.

Final Thoughts

Islamabad’s continuous expansion of M Tag registration centers indicates that digital tolling is now a permanent part of Pakistan’s motorway travel ecosystem. With compliance increasing rapidly and checkpoints actively enforcing the requirement, motorists are encouraged to register without delay. The shift aligns with smart mobility goals, reduced congestion, and a more efficient transportation experience for Pakistan’s growing road network.
