Jetour T2 Petrol

The Jetour T2 sits above the T1 and is positioned as the brand's flagship five-seater SUV in Pakistan.

Its design is perhaps its biggest differentiator. The T2 uses a squared-off, rugged exterior that looks more like traditional adventure SUVs than the rounded crossover designs that dominate the current market.

The petrol variant launched in Pakistan uses a 2.0 liter turbocharged engine, a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, and intelligent All Wheel Drive.

The cabin also gets a large 15.6-inch infotainment display, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a 12-speaker Sony sound system.

Jetour T2 Dominator Kit

Jetour is also offering a Dominator Kit for customers who want a more aggressive appearance.

The exterior modification package has been announced at a promotional price of Rs 20 lakh, reduced from its original price of Rs 25 lakh.

The kit is designed to give the T2 a more distinctive and rugged appearance and could appeal to buyers looking for a customized SUV straight from the showroom.

A special Markhor Edition of the T2 was also displayed at the launch event as part of a promotional collaboration with the government of Gilgit.

Jetour T2 vs Toyota Fortuner and Kia Sorento

The T2 has few direct competitors when it comes to styling. Its boxy and rugged design makes it quite different from most mainstream SUVs currently available in Pakistan.

However, its price and petrol powertrain put it in the same conversation as the Toyota Fortuner V and Kia Sorento V6.

SUV	Engine	Price
Jetour T2 XWD	2.0 Liter Turbo	Rs 1.359 crore
Toyota Fortuner V	2.7 Liter Petrol	Rs 1.49 crore
Kia Sorento V6	3.5 Liter Petrol	Around Rs 1.36 crore

The Toyota Fortuner V costs roughly Rs 14 lakh more than the T2, while the Kia Sorento V6 is priced at almost the same level.

The comparison becomes particularly interesting when equipment is considered. The T2 brings features such as Level 2 ADAS, a 540-degree camera, multiple terrain modes, intelligent AWD, and a large infotainment display.

The Fortuner, meanwhile, benefits from Toyota's established reputation and strong resale value in Pakistan. This makes the choice less straightforward for buyers who prioritize long-term ownership and resale.

Future Competition for the Jetour T2

The T2 could eventually face even more competition from new Chinese SUVs entering Pakistan.

The GWM Tank 300 and iCaur V27 are among the most relevant upcoming models because both follow the same rugged, boxy SUV formula.

Neither model is currently on sale in Pakistan, so the T2 has an opportunity to establish itself in this emerging segment before these rivals officially enter the market.

What Makes the New Jetour SUVs Important?

The latest launch highlights how quickly Pakistan's SUV market is changing.

Chinese automakers are increasingly moving beyond basic value-focused cars and introducing SUVs with advanced driver assistance systems, large displays, premium audio systems, turbocharged engines, AWD systems, and electrified powertrains.

The T1 PHEV is particularly interesting because it brings a plug-in hybrid setup into a segment where Pakistani buyers are increasingly considering fuel efficiency alongside performance and features.

The T2, on the other hand, is targeting customers who want something different from the usual Japanese and Korean SUV choices.

Final Thoughts

Jetour's latest launch gives Pakistani SUV buyers two very different choices.

The T1 PHEV focuses on electrification, efficiency and strong performance, while the T2 petrol takes a more traditional approach with a turbocharged engine, AWD capability and rugged SUV styling.

The T2's Rs 1.359 crore price places it directly against established names such as the Fortuner and Sorento, making its feature list and distinctive design important selling points.

The T1 could become even more interesting once Jetour reveals its final price. If positioned competitively, it could become another strong option in Pakistan's rapidly expanding PHEV and hybrid SUV market.
